At TechEd India 2010 attendees were handed the My Safe PC disc which contains the following software:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>\n<div>Windows XP SP3<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Internet Explorer 8<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Windows Live Essentials<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Microsoft MyPhone<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Microsoft Security Essentials<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Here\u2019s an image of the disc:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-width: 0px;\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com\/images.beingmanan.com\/mse-robot\/01-disc.png\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you look closely, the icon for MSE is a robot and not the castle. I fired up Live Writer thinking that this was the new icon for MSE but rationality prevailed and I realized I\u2019m in India and this could more likely be a misprint. I closed Live Writer and sent Microsoft India PR an email about the robot icon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the folks at Microsoft (who were very quick to respond) the Robot is a global creative mnemonic for Security Essentials while the Castle is the logo.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-width: 0px;\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com\/images.beingmanan.com\/mse-robot\/03-mse-robot.png\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As part of the online campaign, Microsoft is advertising the products with a tag line \u2013 &#8216;Issued in public interest by Microsoft&#8217; <del datetime=\"2010-04-19T12:07:01+00:00\">(or something similar, can\u2019t find the ad)<\/del> Image:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"my safe PC ad\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com\/images.beingmanan.com\/mse-robot\/04-ad-small.PNG\" alt=\"\" width=\"475\" height=\"62\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There are some giveaways on the website <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/wlplanet.com\/mysafepc\/\" target=\"_blank\">My Safe PC<\/a>.
